Essentially, these are stopwatches which start counting when the cap is screwed on to the bottle, and reset when it is unscrewed. They serve the same purpose as pill boxes, except you don't need to remember to fill set them up each week.

My mother tells me that they're usually for dementia patients, but I don't know why.
