Reports indicate that Israel is launching air strikes on Gaza towers, Hamas has destroyed multiple Merkava tanks with drones, and that there are 70 confirmed Israeli and 198 confirmed Palestinian casualties.
There are big questions about how Israeli intelligence was caught so off guard by this attack.
Are they actually that incompetent, or was it known and allowed to happen anyway?

True, but the timing seems very convenient for the current Israeli administration.
With the US having given so much hardware to Ukraine, I imagine that Israel is on its own. If this effort is sustained, I wonder what the US will do, especially if Israel asks for help. Intervention by the US could trigger other countries into action. Or they wouldn’t do shit,iunno.
Hopefully Palestine is able to get out from under the boot with this one.
