    I don't know if this will help you but I started getting far fewer and far milder canker sores when I stopped using toothpaste with sodium lauryl sulfate. There's research suggesting a casual link, at least for some people who are SLS sensitive: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/7825393/

    It's listed as an "inactive ingredient" on toothpaste boxes but usually not on the tubes themselves.

      Yeah this fixed my canker sores too! I used to get really painful ones all the time, and my gums would get swollen and bleed as well. For a mainstream brand that doesn't have SLS but still has fluoride I'd recommend Sensodyne
