So the real story is that the BBC projected their own sexism onto gender neutral terms. Beautiful reporting.

Totally unbiased, unlike those Chinese outlets like CGTN, thank god they got banned in the UK a few days ago.

lol and they removed it. I guess they like eating their propaganda slop more than they care about hearing the truth.

edit: lmao and now I'm banned for questioning the literal genocide narrative using the stats posted by Zenz himself

I guess it is for the better, they clearly have no interest in educating themselves, and I’m always getting all agitated in these discussions with redditors but can’t stop myself from continuing them either, at least now I cannot comment there anymore.

Yeah literally, that is why I never comment on Reddit anymore and only look at the posts on some very specific subs.
                Thank god this site exists.

Meanwhile US high school sports literally deputize the students as door to door candy bar salesmen to get funding.

If we did good at those, we had a big event in the gym where the top sellers got to go in one of those wind tunnel money machines.

Looking back, it is very easy to understand why I believe that “death to amerika” cannot come soon enough

Look up "school fundraiser" on YouTube and just revel in the 50 ads at the top of the page. I wonder if the massive popularity of MLM scams can be directly attributed to these slave labor programs indoctrinating an entire generation with wealth gospel bullshit at a young age.

Did you play a little ice cream truck jingle while announcing that you've got room temperature hams?

Its genuinely depressing to type this. We were assigned a box of shitty off brand chocolate bars, with like 50 of them inside. You're supposed to sell them for a dollar each or something like that, and any you don't sell by a certain date, you have to buy. This is what we have instead of tax funded education.

Fuck I had the off-brand candy bars too. I think I tried to do it for 1 year, then the other 3 my grandparents just paid for the box or whatever the minimum was.

Then there were also the car washes.

I always just dipped on the day they handed out the choco after I got tricked the first time

Literally why? We had business management/enterprise modules where they made you set up a small business (e.g. bake sale) just to prove you could do it but why is sports making you sell stuff?

The conspiracy to paint China as homophobic when it isn’t is pretty much propaganda aimed at LGBT people so they can join the military as well

oh I found a twitter thread about this.

tl;dr; bad translations and lazy reporting. https://mobile.twitter.com/TheTrueTankMan/status/1357608963387183104

    1. A rep was making a suggestion

    2. Calling it masculine is a poor translation of a term that really just means tougher/gritty/strong.

Is it just me, or does it feel like this story partly exists to reinforce the stereotype of asian men as weak and effeminate?

"See, they're so naturally feminine that even their own government admits it's a problem! Any, say, land war with them would probably go really really well."
