So it’s 90% inspired by New Vegas.

The idea is some of the Followers of the Apocalypse in the Mojave were so horrified by the atrocities of the Legion that they decided to abandon the groups non-violent principals and join the NCR military. Mostly in support roles but some became full Rangers. After the courier defeats the Legion and makes New Vegas independent these former Followers began getting shuffled around the NCR. Many of them start becoming disillusioned with the bureaucracy, corruption and exploitation they see in the NCR military and society and begin agitating among soldiers and workers. A group called the Wasteland Workers Party forms, called the WW by most.

Eventually the WW convinces a group of Ghouls who do scavenging work in radioactive areas to go on strike. In solidarity a bunch of other strikes spark across the NCR, eventually becoming a general strike that even has some support from lower ranks in the military. The NCRs response varies from region to region, in some areas they come to an agreement with the workers, in others they violently suppress them. One border region has a full rebellion, largely because an ex-Follower ranger managed to radicalize almost all the soldiers stationed there, as well as a small army of Zinc miners who had formally been living in debt slavery to wealthy NCR mine owners. This area is in what case central Colorado, now just called “The Rockies Waste”.

Because of how far they are from California and how well fortified their position the NCR isn’t confident they can take back this region so they simply set up a military base on its border and make tentative plans to either take or negotiate it back. Meanwhile the residents of the Rockies are trying to organize a more egalitarian social order, but struggle due to their isolation.

To the North in Wyoming the Great Khans have set up a nomadic empire who’s hatred of the NCR makes them sympathetic to the rebels, to the East the Great Plains are now controlled by the Army of Steel, a group of former Brotherhood of Steel members who abandoned the group isolationist ways and have now become an expansionist army bent on acquiring any and all advanced technology and have made a massive army of former raiders by loaning them energy weapons and power armor rigged with explosives that go off if they don’t do what they demand with them. The Army of Steel wants to take the Rockies due to their interest in a area to the South in what was Great Dunes National Park. An odd number of old world robots have been migrating to the Dunes, leading some to believe there is some massive stash of advanced tech there. To the west of the Dunes is a group called The Tribe, and alliance of Souther Western American Indians who decided to try and rebuild their ancient culture after the apocalypse and have rebuilt and re-inhabited the various cliff Pueblos in the southern Rockies, they’re known for their suburb marksmen who take out anyone who ventured too close to their new homes, but their isolation is threaten by both the NCR and the Army of Steel.

In the game you play a caravan guard who was thrown into the Arkansas River by raiders and saved by a doctor but now have amnesia.

But yeah if anyone knows anyone at Bethesda I’m totally willing to sell this shit! I’d prefer Obsidian but that ain’t happening.

The tribe knows of a still-functional water treatment plant that could replenish the valley, but they need an ally with thumbs who can fit through doorways.
