I trust that you're doing your due diligence here, but I feel obligated to point out that it's trivial to spoof a cell number. The numbers not matching wouldn't prove/disprove anything.

I don't think the phrasing here is great. It's not a bit in that we are going to take this seriously and look into it. We are currently investigating.
