Whites in settler societies have a history of doing this. In the early 20th century South Africa white “communist” forces allied with white workers there and fought to drive blacks out of white work and chanted “workers of the world unite for a white South Africa”
They also have done it all throughout americas history. The socialist papers of western America used to print racist shit about Chinese and Mexican workers and demand white workers stand together for their wages.

Exactly. Just as the labor aristocracy unions would scab and work with capital against industrial proletarian unions in the Industrial Age. Or the iww refused to combat America’s imperialism in their hey day claiming “all they could do was improve their condition.”
White workers literally lynched and drove Chinese back to China in California in the early 1800s after they had practically built all infrastructure there.
If there’s one thing you csn point to that has sabotaged everything from petty progressive policies all the way to proper revolution in America it’s the short sightedness of white workers, incl. white socialists and communists of the time going for the carrot of temporary wage hikes in exchange for betraying their bipoc comrades and socialism in general
This is something we white Americans have to grapple with and understand so as not to repeat the mistakes of the last 400 years of trounced worker struggle.
