  • I once had a flat tire on my way to work and pulled into a neighborhood to change it. I'm putting my spare on, sweating in my office casual clothes and this lady came outside filming me to let me know she called the cops. Not realizing what she meant I was like "Oh thanks, but I should be good". Shes like no "No they're coming to make you leave"

So I finished up changing my tire while she filmed me, cops showed up, asked us what was going on. And she's like "he's faking the tire thing he's planning on robbing our neighborhood" and the look on the cops face was just like lukashenko-tired

A recent one I read was Killing Hope by William Blum. Took me ages to finish it because every chapter just left me feeling like doomjak

Not necessarily explicitly leftist or anti-imperialist but Chaos by Tom O'neill is a lot of fun and brainworm inducing.

  • My mother-in-law scolded my wife for laughing about it in an instagram post. "A person is dead, how can you write something so hateful. You are condoning violence!".

I said to just reply with a screenshot of all of her posts about marginalized people, immigrants, or Palestinians lol. But also like why the fuck does she give a shit, American peasant mentality is wild.
