YouTube comments make me lose my faith in humanity. I have watched couple of “Charlie Kirk owns the libs” clips and my first thought is always, “well that was a dumb gotcha moment, he owned the person because the person was just not prepared for such a weird comeback, I bet the comments call him out on that”. Nope, I am wrong 100% of the time.

  • Not the person you replied to, but I also found the game boring, but I realized that CRPGs are just not for me. I played Divinity OS2 just last year couple months before Bg3, I kinda liked it, but I felt the same way about the game. Combats takes too, I just didn’t care about any of the characters and the overall story didn’t have much of an “oomph”. I disliked Bg3 more because imo dnd rules like long rest and dice roll for everything was just not fun.

I do love Disco Elysium though, so I guess there are some exceptions to crpg

Possibly, or could be too many choices. I was in that spot today because I don’t want to start something big before Elden ring dlc is out, but I also want to play something that is actually top tier game. I somehow started playing Bramble.

There is some nuance to the story, but Gamers are too pea-brained to get it. It’s not that Joel is bad, it’s about actions having consequences no matter how justified those actions may seem from one side, those actions could be seen as unredeemable from the other side.

I also hate that they criticize the story for being “revenge bad”, it’s okay if you’re tired of that trope, but boiling it down to that just shows that you are too stubborn to pay attention to the story. After Ellie lost her fingers (the ones she plays the guitar with), it triggered her emotions and memories about Joel, she realized that she wasn’t mad at Abby, she was mad at herself for taking so long to forgive Joel and now she won’t get that chance again.

There are definitely valid criticisms for the game the game though, but I don’t get why people make it their personality to hate the game. I disliked Witcher 3 and Baldur’s gate 3 and guess what? I moved on.
