Holy shit, Ken Paxton did something worth a damn. I guess even a broken pile of shit is right twice a day.

I wouldn't say "excited", as I don't know of it having any specific advantages over what's already on the market.
I'm quite fond of my 7 and 8 though. Battery life and cell reception could be better, but I've never found either to be less than satisfactory.
I generally look at what the market is doing. I care a lot more about software availability and battery than performance these days, most manufacturers have little to offer me.
Generally, the only things of interest to me are the pixels (shootout Graphene), the fairphone, and projects like the Librem 5. IMO if you want an android and care about privacy or security, the choice is kind of obvious these days.
It used to be a standard thing that young people said to express disapproval.
"Ms Johnson said I can't make up the homework I missed because I forgot my bag yesterday."
"Sorry bro, that's gay."
Meters are fine too, they're basically just yards.
Kilometers, degrees Celsius, and kilograms can fuck right off.
Isn't mumble hot garbage? My planet side outfit memes on it whenever it gets brought up.
I work in somewhat high-level banking, and while I admit that I assumed a government institution would be better about this than private companies, this sounds very par for the industry.
Things are less fucked at lower levels, like operations or retail, but I've never heard of someone working in high levels of banking that didn't have a laundry list of potentially actionable HR complaints.
People who prefer android because it's open source usually use open source android because that's what they want.
That being said, proprietary blobs and black boxes are a pox on basically every usable device these days. I hate it.
I'm referring to two bits of copper wire in a sleeve of (probably rubber) insulation, commonly used for landlines back in the day. If you don't call it that, maybe it's a regional thing.
Oh, and there's 8 billion people on this planet. They all live in the "real world". Your experiences are not somehow more valid because you happen to live on one particular patch of dirt.
Yeah, but it is a lining. The entire interior surface is plastic, so is the risk of chemical leeching any different?
Most people in developed countries have internet that can support HD resolutions, yes. Mine even does, and our building's wiring is original to the 50s.
In English, this is "rolling" a drink. It's the best way to handle something with tomato juice, like a bloody Mary.
I'd teach them once they are old enough to understand it on a technical level, as well as the potential consequences.
And I find your comparison to sex ed very strange. Sex is something they will do with huge consequences if they fuck up. They need to understand it, and they need to understand it early.
Mine is usually the whole copay...
The hardware is wholly unremarkable, but the pixel line supports Graphene. Custom Roms are a necessity if you care about privacy even a little bit, but there are other options.
Unfortunately in many places, illegal searches are the rule, not the exception and as such security is almost as critical. If you need security AND privacy there is simply no substitute.
Motorola hardware looks kinda nice though...
I vote no.
Switch hardware in general is a much worse experience than emulation due to graphical limits, no save backups, etc.
If my understanding is correct, a used steam deck should be about €300, which will offer a much better experience for your switch games and play other games as well.
Honestly 100 years is definitely overkill, in the same way that 5 years us definitely underkill.
Prison terms should be enough to provide an incentive not to do the crime and hopefully rehabilitate the offender, but not so much that they burden society or provide incentive to commit more crimes in hope of evading justice.
I hope this idiot is locked up long enough to make it clear that confidence schemes and gross negligence have no place in our society.
They work on my mother, but she has the kind of faith in the system I honestly envy. It seems like a much more tranquil existence.
This is the same woman who thinks the Judge Rotenburg center must not be that bad, because otherwise it would have already been closed down. She just...can't imagine a regulatory failure that big actually happening.
I looked it up because I didn't believed you. GTA V released in 2013 on consoles and 2015 on PC.
I'm not surprised about the console release, but I really thought the PC release was in like 2018 for some reason. I remembered there being several years in the middle, not just two.
Hey, I'm a banker. Obviously, credit unions are smaller businesses than a large bank. If you haven't used a small bank before, note that it is different.
But the biggest thing that I can think of you may not expect is that credit unions are not insured the same as a bank. Some may be insured adequately for your needs, or they may not. Do your homework.
