Would you consider Nelson Mandela a "tankie" for his support of the Cuban revolution, taking inspiration from Mao while imprisoned on Robben Island, and being thankful towards the Soviet Union for their support in ending apartheid while being the last recipient of the Lenin Peace Prize?
