America into a re-vitalized, progressive nation with strong social welfare. (This may sound absurd, but I have a whole set of reasonings and indicators supporting this that are too long to elaborate here)

How'd that one work out?

You can't time the bottom. Things don't get worse steadily, day by day. There are periods when things are looking up. The long term trend is worse. I agree that there are some recent shifts in attitude. Maybe things just got too ridiculous during the Trump administration and the pandemic. But I think the trend will reassert itself. The Biden regime has had some good surprises but a lot of bad shit and pointless concessions to chud thought.

And of course, a lot of the stuff I think the US needs is not on the road map and not being discussed and I don't think it's even solvable within decades. For example, towns need to be denser basically everywhere. Too many people have their life savings tied up in big houses with big lawns. Americans lost their minds about the ACA, which regulates and subsidizes health insurance. Can you imagine the riots if the president said we need to reign in the suburbs?
