If so, how / why? Do you have any regrets?

    I think parents pass on a lot of their political orientation on to their kids. Not even explicitly, just somehow subliminally, probably due to the kids growing up in the patents' environment and being exposed to their views and media.

      Yeah but you also get people like Mayor Pete who is noticeably less cool than his parent(s). That's kinda what this post is getting at, I think.

      Not too hard to get you kid into the broad "lib" or "chud" cultural bucket, but if you want them to have a deeper understanding of the world beyond those surface level "politics" then I think it somewhat more tricky.

      Even then, I know I guy whose parents are walking mayor Pete's, but turned out to be a fashy mf and the analysis we could do on that sort of situation would be pretty interesting.
