I was speaking more along the lines of the endless emotes and troll comments. I don't think people have a problem with many of the comments that have actual meat to them, even if they vehemently disagree with what's said, like I often do. The ones posting the same trollface emote fifty times though? That's assnine and annoying. Then those same users complain that nobody wants to "debate" them. That's not debate. Given that, I fail to see how any person capable of even a modicum of critical thought continue going along with the narrative.
And we see this same behavior manifest itself in many other areas. For example, people continue to believe articles claiming that China's economy is going to collapse despite decades of such articles being false.
