I'm saying this as a big fan. I listen to them all the time, but they are definitely white guys in their 40's raised on South Park. The impression I get I that they are well meaning but with most things.
Edit: as an aside I think Henry is a budding leftist. A few months ago while researching MKUltra he mentioned that he went down a rabbit hole of leftist conspiracy theories, but unlike most conspiracy theories these ones have merit.

What makes them problematic? I don't know about the other two hosts but Ben on Abe Lincoln's Tophat just seemed like a generic democrat.

I like Henry, but the drop in episode quality paired with Ben and Marcus's shit takes eventually made me fall out of it completely.

I'd agree with that. A relic of the era where three white men entering the same room creates a quantum entanglement resulting in a podcast.
