I'm going to make these weekly because daily is a bit hard to keep on top of. So from now on these wil be every posted every Monday (US time) Once a week is enough, right? Still not sure what comm I should post these in, because c/bloomer is locked. Maybe I should post them in c/doomer as a joke? Also, if anyone has any ideas for me to make these better, tell me! i actually got to picket with the UAW! it was really cool to meet some union members. at the location i went to 4 managers are working 10 hours a day, 7 days a week to attempt at picking up the slack. i asked why the managers were working and apparently the local uaw doesn't allow managers to join the union. also i figured out i am related to a very prominent uaw figure (not going to share my family name ofc) who even has his own Wikipedia article.
as for unionizing at my workplace, i have mentioned it in passing and a few coworkers said they would join a union if someone asked but wouldn't start one. so i guess that's good??
