Tankie things like "nazis are bad" and "don't celebrate Waffen S.S. veterans."

(I'm not be sarcastic by the way, we are absolute at a point where those are considered tankie.)

I think the two of us have a very different idea of where the line is drawn.

Liberals and tankies would both agree that nazis are bad. Pretty much the only people who wouldn’t agree are the actual nazis, (whether open or closeted.)

And if you’re referring to the Canadian SS thing that happened recently, the party pretty unanimously decried it once it was discovered. The lawmaker responsible was ousted almost immediately. So definitely not tankie.

A tankie is someone who ignores all of the evils that communism has helped perpetuate throughout history, and attempts to whitewash and downplay anything currently happening. Things like Russia meddling in western elections to get literal nazis elected, or China harvesting organs from Muslims.

The issue with your first point is that lots of tankies will currently try to defend nazis by proxy, by defending the meddling that got them in power. If you’re okay with the meddling, then you’re okay with the results of that meddling. Which is doubly ironic, since the same tankies will use the same breath to denounce Ukraine for supposedly being full of nazis. They want to have their cake and eat it too. And that’s just not a realistic worldview.

Not all, Liberals will absolutely disagree that Nazi's are bad, as Cananda has clearly shown.

the party pretty unanimously decried it once it was discovered.

You have a funny idea of what "unanimously" means; I've seen countless liberals arguing in defense of it, including articles from major liberal publication. Not to mention, the the people in the Canadian parliament who did it are themselves liberals, and they very clearly didnt' think Nazi's were bad.

The lawmaker responsible was ousted almost immediately.

The entire parliament gave a Nazi a standing ovation, including the president of Ukraine. The fact that one guy had to be thrown under the bus because of the public backlash doesn't change that.

        So definitely not tankie.

Correct, tankies would never have applauded a Nazi in the first place, let alone being satisfied with a minor slap on the wrist followed by a torrent of defenses and rationalizations for the people who did.

        A tankie is

Tankie is a snarl word that liberals use to attack anyone to the left of them because they can't say 'commie' anymore without sounding like boomers, the idea that it has some clear cut 'definition' is nonsense, as evidenced by the fact that any time someone using it tries to define it, the definition is horribly vague and doesn't even apply to the people who get called tankies in the first place, as is the case with your definition.

        Things like Russia

Russia isn't communist, please learn even the smallest amount of history before wading into these topics.

meddling in western elections to get literal nazis elected

It's been 7 years, Hillary lost. You liberals need to learn to accept that.

        China harvesting organs from Muslims

        Literally never happened.

And further more, by your own definition, basically nobody on hexbear of lemmygrad is a tankie, because almost nobody there " ignores all of the evils that communism has helped perpetuate throughout history". Unless you just been, "anybody who doesn't think communism is evil".

The issue with your first point is that lots of tankies will currently try to defend nazis by proxy

        Fuck you, no we won't.

by defending the meddling that got them in power.

You mean like the Maiden coup in Ukraine? We don't defend that.

They want to have their cake and eat it too. And that’s just not a realistic worldview.

        You're projecting here.
