I think it’s important to reflect on our history and discuss how we can better ourselves. I think in particular the fact that many of you deny the Tiananmen Square massacre, I think it would be beneficial to share the facts and mourn the losses.

      Yeah, I won't lie, I'm getting some strong wrecker vibes from all of it. Irony can be funny and amusing, but at some point it stops being irony, and it just becomes obnoxiously reactionary.

        Also they seem to have missed the point where irony and satire are supposed to like have a point or highlight the absurdity of a real life thing.

        Shitting your pants and then acting smug when people think it's gross is not irony, it's just shitting your pants.

        And I love that their take away is that people don't like it because they keep getting fooled by it and not that people don't like it because it isn't funny or even a decent bit.
