But I have had awful arguments with the most lib furries basically saying that the fandom should be sanitized and handed over to capital, like pride, because that's what lead to LGBT+ normalization.
That “normalization” was completely non-intersectional and prioritized privileged queer people over others. I know you know this, but the conflation of social progressivism under liberalism with that of true liberation is maddening.

It's insane that the exact same arguments can be had about both such obviously serious stuff like queer liberation, and silly shit like furries
