none of these chumps are thinking coherently about what security looks like in a society where your money isn't worth anything

Was it spez who had the idea "what if the security guards have to wear bomb collars linked to a fail-deadly dead-man's switch, to keep them in line?" At least some of them are thinking of cartoonish ways to do it, and I'm sure some of them are quietly thinking about more realistic setting-oneself-up-as-a-warlord fantasies.

Unironically a good idea for a sci-fi novel to critique capitalism.

The ruling class intentionally creating all of these problems because they're bored and this is their idea of fun.

Bezos will be an absolutely miserable warlord as soon as he realizes he's got to work for a living.

Going to fill my house with explosives. And also lots of flammable materials. What could go wrong?

These idiots are tech engineers first and foremost. They don't have the political knowledge nor do they have the financial knowledge to grasp power.

The finance bougs are more likely to set themselves up as feudal lords. These idiots will try and Saw their way through things with no understanding that this will only temporarily work until someone finds a gap in the system they've engineered and offs them.
