To be fair, HP Lovecraft was racist against the Welsh.
The Dutch were too non-white for him. I’ve seen the Welsh thing from other contemporary sources, but Lovecraft was Franklin levels of WASP only (who complained about the swarthy Swedes and Germans).
Somehow one of the only major founding fathers to not own slaves was actually on a higher tier of racism than the slave owning ones.
