    Reddit slowly became a vast receptacle of human knowledge from every imagination hobby or interest, rivalling wikipedia in it's usefulness. Think of how many times you've used reddit to look for answers to a question or for item reviews. The content is valuable, it's sad to see it used for this inevitable garbage

      I don't understand why people say this. Most hobbyist subreddits are dogshit and have no useful information. Most of the people on reddit are barely sentient and outnumbered by literal reply bots. Even youtube has better information than that.
