Recognizing notes is a capacity you basically have to be born with
You can reliably train yourself to recognize intervals (distance between notes) and chord types ("flavor" of multiple notes occuring at once) though and there are trainers for this. Ear training / interval training would be the terms to search for.
I may not be phrasing it correctly, but I just want a think so I can hear a note and then have the label show up on screen. I can hold a tune well and I can recognize it when I play it back in my head. I just don't know the terms and symbols associated for each one.
Yeah, most classically trained and professional musicians can't do this
