  • Well, don’t go to any protests/events or don’t join any orgs then if you don’t want to end up on a list of some sort. lol

I mean the people involved in this like The ANSWER Coalition have been putting on large scale protests since the Iraq War, so this ain’t some amateur lib nonsense.

    Repurposing something I wrote earlier:

Ben Burgis is a hack. He, along with Douglas Lain, used to be apart of Zero Books and made Youtube videos for that publishing house’s channel. They’re both Left Coms who complain about cancel culture and political correctness (Burgis was even on Rogan). They even made a few videos bashing Michael Parenti that appear to have been deleted from the Zero Books channel. [It looks like Lain reuploaded one of them onto his channel here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XI57956Ln5M] Even one of Lain’s videos is an interview with Glenn Greenwald with a thumbnail that says “Flashback: Glenn Greenwald is not your enemy”, while Burgis actually released a book with the title, "Canceling Comedians While The World Burns".

  • BONUS:

“There are songs from the past that I no longer feel comfortable singing. I love ‘Run Like Hell’. I loved the music I created for it, but all that ‘You’d better run, run, run…’ I now find that all rather, I don’t know… a bit terrifying and violent.”

That’s the point of the song, Gilmour! You worked on the album! lol

The guitarist added: “‘Another Brick In The Wall’ is another one I shan’t be doing. I don’t think I’ve done that with my own band, but I certainly did it in the post-Roger Pink Floyd, against my better judgment. The same with ‘Money’. I won’t be doing that.”

He probably unironically believes the things Money is poking fun at. lol

  • "I was in Nicaragua with the Sandinistas. I've argued for Leonard Peltier, Mumia Abu-Jamal, the United Farm Workers. I've been a radical for a long time. I guess it's too bad. I'd be more marketable as a right-wing redneck. But I got into this to tell the truth as I saw it."

  • Wild that you’re comparing revolutionary optimism to self help books. I’ll have to let Fred Hampton, Mao Zedong and Ho Chi Minh know.

“The most immediate antidote to nihilism is revolutionary optimism. Revolutionary optimism isn’t rooted in a blind hope that change will come at some unknown point in the future. It is cultivated by the acknowledgement that only through participation in the struggle to liberate the people can the lives of the people be transformed. Revolutionary optimism is bolstered by a deep curiosity in and knowledge of the history of class struggle. Social change is treated as a science, one with distinct properties and elements that are both inevitable and profoundly dependent upon the actions taken by the people.”
