The Cerutti Mastodon Kill Siteseems to be evidence of a humans hunting in North America over 100,000 years ago. This interpretation is still contested and I don't think there's any other evidence of humans in the Americas that early, but it's a tantalizing possibility.
It's likely that people actually showed up here much much earlier than 20,000 years ago.
