Comedian Bill Burr mocked Bill Maher on the latter’s own podcast on Sunday, telling him he does not know as much as he thinks he does.
On Sunday’s Club Random, Maher criticized college students and “cancel culture,” which Burr declared “over” and said that “no one cares anymore.”
Eventually, Maher steered the conversation toward the recent protests on college campuses regarding Israel’s war in Gaza. Burr told the host that he sides with the students, prompting Maher to say that position ignores the “hard-nosed decisions” that should be made after an event such as the Oct. 7th terrorist attacks in Israel. The guest responded by saying Maher is posing as an expert in world politics and likened him to a fantasy football team owner who thinks he could be the general manager in the NFL.

I mean, if he had some white house staffer, some DoS ghoul, or some congress person on there, the fact that they likely have done shit on Washington wouldn't make their argument for genocide any better.
I understand that Bill Burr is shutting down Maher by reminding him that he's just a performer without any actual influence, but tbh I'd prefer it stayed that way instead of the alternative: Bill Maher having some sort of executive power.
