The selling pages for such knives almost always tell you that it's actually made from 8Cr13MoV or something. But either way they cost like $12 and the 8Cr13MoV steel is still pretty great.

No name clones tend to be ass quality but the ones made by actual Chinese brands are decent to good to better quality
It's time for us to have a knife fight (putting a couple nerd knives on the table and talking about materials and build quality).
