In seriousness, I wonder why it did that. Crows can probably have like sensory issues, I wonder if it was annoyed by the noise or the sight of the flag flapping around. Or maybe it was kind of just looking at it like "I think I see how that connects, let's see if I can disconnect it" or maybe it was underestimating how heavy the flag would be and thought it would make good material for a nest.

I just assume they're like cats, small children, me sometimes, etc. It's fun to watch stuff fall down.
