Small hope - the Tories look like they're finally going to fuck off for a few years. I know the replacement New Labour isn't great, but the damage Tories have done in 12 years is untold. I just want things to stop getting radically worse every day.
Big hope - China #1. The contradictions of Western rule seem to become more evident each day. China's amazing feats could mean our ruling class gives us more concessions ala FDR so we don't 'see the light'. Or it could be a fascist implosion. But still, China dunks on that easily.
