They were all but guaranteed to be thrown out and wasted, so after asking if anyone else wanted any, I took them home in a ziploc for me and my friend.

Apparently didn't sit right with someone, and walked in today and got scolded/job threatened over it. Over some leftover BBQ chips.

Lack of solidarity and brown nosing management man...sucks. Just feel disappointed and let down.

Edit: Thank you all for the support and sympathetic comments, they helped me feel better than I did. I was pretty shaken at the time, but have calmed significantly since (albeit quite tired mentally and emotionally). I'm going to try and move on from the experience, though I may have an idea who the culprit is due to circumstantial evidence. I'll just be more cautious around them and the majority of my coworkers from now on. Wish I didn't have to be, but thems the breaks. Thx again <3

    so fucking stupid

    when i was a manager i let everyone in my dept take what they want as long as they deleted it from the inventory database first or it already was

    and like, not be blatant about it. don't get caught by store manager. that was it
