anything interesting and fairly melodic bc my headphones are mid and I can't have the volume up too high. I been listening to a lot of TVZ and techno so obv genre is not important. Would like to start an album and finish it by time I'm at work, or have one that can last for the whole roundtrip.

I personally prefer to hear the world completely and be a bit zen in my own thoughts when cycling (even if my thoughts are mostly just internally cussing out the hills), however if you do want to listen to music while cycling without blocking situational awareness bone conduction headphones are pretty good - like not winning any awards sonically but it’s good enough. Shokz used to be the best but like I said none of them sound that good so perhaps as well to just use aliexpress for some non brand version.
I generally do. When I used to do bike delivery, I only let myself bring out my speaker for one shift a week because I wanted biking with music to be a special treat.
