😂 this has never once been true in two decades of helping people move, so when I volunteer to help "just move the mattress and table" I'm ready to pack shit up and clean too
really worried about this friend tbqh, kinda got some hints that there are very serious substance abuse issues happening
idk what to do except just try to be there when he needs us and keep trying to proactively check on him
With everyone in my family, it's been letting them know they have love and support until they are ready to make the change for themselves. Now my uncle is finally doing better and is grateful we stuck by him during his hard times (even if it was tough love at times.) He's lucky to have a friend as good as you!

He's way too proud for any kind of charity though - he will barely let me buy him a drink for his birthday - and idk how to get him to see the offer as anything but that.
