This line in particular I find obnoxious, because I've seen people say this before and it's just so stupid to think Hamas / Palestinians in general expected no retaliation from the people they've been living next to for decades and who are specifically known for disproportionate retaliation.
The other stuff is trash too, but this line just fucking irks me, I dunno.
At this point I call it for the racism it is: "They're just so fundamentally stupid they're going to keep doing stupid tactics that have been proven historically to not work. They can't figure out their own oppression nor how to resist it, that I, the coddled western whelp I am, can conceive of from a safe distance"
