While I'm non-religious myself, churches are one of the earliest forms of mutual aid post-agricultural revolution. If that church was welcoming to you and helped ease your burden, I hope you deepen your bonds with the people there.

If they end up too religious for your taste or just don't align with your beliefs as well as you'd hope, there's countless churches out there, and there's even non-religious ones, too. I hope you'll find a community worthy of you (IRL)
