It was a sub for leftists who were overly critical of identity politics (idpol), basically class reductionists. A lot of them (all?) used it as an excuse to not analyze some racist biases they probably grew up with and as happens all the time, when poc called them out on it it activated their hitler gene and they doubled down to the point of being pretty damn racist usually lol
