    Isn't this on purpose because you can do it if you're subscribed to YouTube Premium?

    Not sure because the I hate the antichrist meme except it's me shouting "I'll never pay for YouTube Premium", but it sounds like the kind of innovation capitalism would come up with.

      Yes. Before youtube premium, the youtube app let you do this with no issue. They later paywalled it. It's not a technical problem.

        Unless you meant without YouTube premium

          Without premium, it might not be anymore but it used to be at least
