How about like literally any policy
I think "policy" is a distraction. They do in fact offer policies, and sometimes voters even read them. The problem is those policies are always chickenshit, small bore, and clearly designed to upset as few people as possible. It's not policy that liberal campaigns lack, but vision, something that gives the impression of an overarching goal for society that deviates from the status quo.
