Ange Postecoglou is the son of a Greek🇬🇷 immigrant to Australia🦘, ended up coaching the Australian national soccer team, then Glasgow Celtic ☘️ where he won two 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Premierships.

But the point is that he's now coaching Spurs 🐓!!! And they've suddenly had their best start in SIXTYONE YEARS 😱. After finishing in 8th place last year, they been top of the league for much of the start of the season.

They're currently 26 points from 10 games; Man City are 27 points from 11 games. Spurs are playing Chelsea 💙 when this thread is 6️⃣ hours old... if they win this they'll be top, and everyone will have to admit this is more than a flash in the pan, something is really happening at Spurs (traditionally the team of London's Jews, btw)

Triangles wtf are you talking about Vampire triangles you've gone mad. Look at this play – https://yewtu.be/watch?v=9xHt4T-0Nk4 – look at all those lovely triangles: players move near their teammate to give him passing options (so that he can pass around pressure). This contrasts with Pepball where players are zonal and find space. But he uses full-backs (Romero and van de Ven) as midfielders when moving the ball forward, which is Peppish.

Instead of going deeper 🐇 into tactics, I also want to mention Postecoglou's personality. Players will play better for their manager if they love him 👪, and Postecoglou seems to know how to get the best out of his boys. He has lots of motivational speeches on CIAtube, like this and this.

I mean, it's still more reasonable to believe Man City will win the League, but if Spurs go top tonight, they're a real contender, especially after the 3rd,4th,5th teams (Arsenal, Villa and the 'pool) having just dropped points.
