Man, I am late to the party, but this is without exaggeration one of the most stupid things I have ever seen actually constructed.

Using 60 cars? How the fuck are they charging these? What's the downtime per day per vehicle? There has to essentially be a huge charging and maintenance garage. I can't imagine that will scale well if they really want to make this a city wide system. What's the lifetime of a private passenger vehicle used essentially as a transit vehicle?

What is the actual crash provision? The tunnels seem too narrow to allow the doors to even open, so there is going to be some horrifying crash here where the batteries vaporize people.

The boarding app seems incredibly inadequate for any sort of high volume and this is going to be a hugely congested nightmare where most people would be better off just walking to the other side of the convention center. Is there a price of use here?

Launching without automation is so fucking laughable. It's never happening, there will be huge staff requirements at a minimum for making sure passengers are boarded safely in the correct vehicle.

I can't get over how fucking stupid the gamer lighting is.

Also in disbelief at how breathless and completely brainless the media coverage is here.

I hope there's a follow up story about how this actually handles its first convention with actual capacity.
