My boss told me privately that my coworker had a case of delhi belly, he then repeated this a couple of days later to a meeting with 10-15 people in

He's also made comments about people who receive welfare, and about people who he manage's salaries (he's done this about me to other people as well). This is for a global american company but we're based around the world

Very frustrating and not sure what to do. I'm probably going to share this with my coworker on Monday but yeah should I talk to HR or something. I'm in a position where I'd end up homeless if I lost this job

about people who he manage's salaries

If you want to talk to HR, make sure you mention this. They probably will only performatively care about the boss being an asshole, but he'll get in trouble for that one.

Stay away from HR, they're there to protect the company. The only way they could be useful would be if he was putting the company at risk. Otherwise they'll turn on you.

Keep it in your backpocket that you're getting paid below market wage though. Useful when negotiating an annual raise. It's nice to know ahead of time that management thinks they got you cheap lol

Oh damn, lol. He's not supposed to say that but it doesn't sound like it's going to set off alarms at HR either.
