Just trying to gauge early feelings about the next presidential election, especially with the looming specter of Trump running again. Thanks to any and all who take it

It's very early, but Biden honestly has a giant advantage to start with. Vaccine distribution is going super well. Certainly bad shit will happen, but it's gonna give him such a huge edge that it's gonna take a lot to stop that from being a huge advantage. Like a major disaster or an incredibly popular candidate are gonna be needed to stop him from winning in 2024 I think. But it's totally possible. So many businesses have permanently closed, it's something you see any time you go out now. I think that's a big opportunity for Republicans to seize on.

I also think that if he dies or steps down, it's a much more even ball game. I don't think that voters would give Kamala or any other democrat credit for the vaccine rollout.

I agree. There's a chance Trump will run again, and if he does, he'll likely win the primary. But, I don't see him winning a general election, for the reason's you described, and additionally because 2020 showed a significant decline in his ability to effectively campaign compared to 2016 Trump. If he stays banned from twitter, that could also hurt.
