      Maybe since outside of Reykjavik it's very rural? If you live in the city you maybe have a car maybe not. If you live in the country on a farm you have 5.

        this is true, except it's more like everyone has a car, the PMC people in Reykjavík have at least two and rural people have cars too.

      most of the urban infrastructure is built up after the second world war. So it's made for cars.

      The cancer of neoliberalism took root after the collapse of the Soviet Union and made things worse. The current city officials are socdems though and they are trying to make things better.

      The boomers are mad about it of course.

        every year they talk about the feasibility of having a train from the airport to Reykjavík. Maybe in 2050 or something.
