i think it's more people upset that they're having control taken away from them and feedback being ignored. there are legitimate usability issues with the new design especially for the vision impaired, and complaints have fallen on deaf ears.

it would be fine if they made it possible to revert to the old design in the settings but they're removing that option with the next two months or so as well. if you like the new design good for you, don't be an asshole and act like everyone else has to like it too
