we need some fucking wacky ass shit and to get rid of suits and ties and gendered dresses. pre-Deng China was cooking, i don't think anyone ever caught Mao in a tie. they should've iterated on Red-Guard wear and Zhongshan suits instead of letting the bourgeoisie again dictate the fashions. the Soviets were getting avant garde in the 20's (see also the DRIP from the civil war) budenovkas are kind of silly now but with a longer history and refinement they could've been iconic

i really like the uniforms of the DPRK
their hat game especially is very good
their generals are silly in those really exaggerated soviet-style peaked caps, but there's cpc-style pleated ones and kepis that look alright
