Education may be a factor, and it just averages out. Would be interesting to see some of the crosstabs of education with for example age groups and party id.

I think young people and Democrats are more likely to have a college degree than other demos, so the fact that education is at the national average, but demos correlated with higher college degree attainment are less likelh to support military action makes me think it is a factor.
