It’s time for another Conor card. The main card is pretty weak as expected.
The only thing remotely saving the main card is the comain. Wonderboy/ Burns is a hell of a fight.
I don’t see the main going any different then it did 6 months ago. Happy Dustin is getting another big payday though.
The under card has a couple of decent things happening for it. Ryan Hall is actually going to fight. What is pretty big news for bjj people’s. I am a big Carlos Condit fan, so hyped for that. Niko and Pereira could end up being bonkers for an unimaginable amount of reasons. Because it’s Niko and Pereira .
This sets Conor up for a title fight if Dustin beats Charles. What is the dumbest shit ever.
My real fear is that, with all the talk of RDA being the back up and us potentially getting the Conor/Dos Anjos fight we all wanted, we'll have jinxed the event and Conor will pull out leaving us with just RDA v Poirier. Which is fine, I guess
idk part of me wonders if RDA still has it in him. Since losing the belt he's gone 5-5. Sure the loses have been against smothering wrestlers and that's not Poirier, but idk man. Would love to see RDA come out like he used to when he had the 55 strap

Usman, Colby, Chiesa, Leon ... I don't think you could find 4 worst match ups no matter the weight class to match against RDA.
RDA is definitly not prime RDA anymore but the man can still go. His last fight Felder was great.
This sketch but it's about RDA taking fights against much larger, stronger wrestlers. I don't know who that man's agent is but he should be fired. Don't know why RDA went to 170 really, it's the wrestler's division. Great scrap with Lawler tho
Could happen. I am thinking Dustin grapples really early this time around. He has brought it up a few times leading into the fight and it just makes sense. Dustin is the better grappler, has a better gas tank and is stronger then Conor. If Dustin can get him down or wear on him a lot in the first round Conor is in all kinds of trouble. Its not exatally poirers style. but he is more then able to stick to game plans and I expect Mike Brown has drilled the idea of early takedowns into his head for the past 6 months.
Orrrr Dustin just kicks Conors leg off again.
I don’t know why Dana has continuously gave hardy big opportunities like being on a Conor card. The guy is hated and not in the good way where people will tune in to watch him lose.
Watching him get blasted was nice though. Put that shit on the espn prelims or something.
The Niko fight should have been on the main card.
Tuivasa was funny though, spice girls intro, typical aussie lad behaviour (hope he is not a dick though) and speech :meow-fiesta:
Tuivasa/Hardy gonna end in a double tko via gassing out. O'Malley is fighting checks notes a ufc newcomer?? Excited to see Blinky McHeelhook do his best Vannata impression for a round and a half before securing the sub tho, that's always fun.
Gotta say I hate rubber matches tho with this trilogy fight. Like yeah, a trilogy between Poirier and McG was going to happen, but did it really need to happen immediately after the second fight? What are we really expecting to see different from Conor that he didn't have in fight 2? There's been no time for evolution as a fighter. I know this is happening on one part because Dustin wants the pay day but it's also so obviously Conor handholding from the ufc because they need to correct the record any time he loses so it can look like a fluke and not just that he isn't actually the best in the division. Part of me feels like Dana is up Khabib's ass about coming back for the 50-0 fight just for the purpose of having Conor avenge the loss
Conor going for a shitty guillotine and ending up mounted.
:data-laughing:
4 times at least :michael-laugh: guess he is a wrestler now.
I think he got fucked early on with the leg tbh, and was just desperate, but :data-laughing:
Yeah, I think his leg was in trouble pretty early. I watched it a few times and am pretty sure Dustin is right and the first damage was done by one of the checked leg kicks.
Conor was recklessly throwing those kicks without rhyme or reason. He should have watched Dustin vs. Gaethje. If Justin’s leg kicks did not work there’s no way Conors were a major threat.
