That so-called recovery groups maintain that even something basically without potential for abuse like psilocybin is forbidden is just not helpful. We don't have an addict group here and that's sort of because we're not equipped for it, but if you ever want to just shoot your experiences to someone, I'll listen. I will say, with acknowledgement that it's not a great thing to hear, that getting things under wraps is not always a great reason to go back to using. I've experienced it enough times with alcohol to know that it takes a large support and ensurance structure to make sure that even using a substance to maintain self-medication doesn't slip back into over-compensating, destructive behavior.
