I've been trying and it is genuinely difficult. ETA: This isn't a dig at anyone. Love you all.
I'm all for it.
Janeway: beam Ensign Smartypants back on board. I want to have a little chat about attending staff meetings in uniform.
My hot take is that r/startrekgifs kinda sucked. 90% of it was meta inside jokes that had nothing to do with trek
I agree. We do, however, have the opportunity to rise above. I know it's been a long road gettin' from there to here. It's been a long time, but our time is finally near.
I have had such poor luck trying to post gifs on lemmy (aside from comments), but if anyone can nail down how to ensure it works every time, I'll learn!
Replying again to let you know that I may have solved it. catbox.moe seems to be the way
Oh good! I had tried catbox.moe maybe a couple of months ago, and people were telling me that it was lagging for them. Maybe my gif was too big.
I don't think anyone would have a problem with external hosting sites (catbox.moe, imgur, etc.). I do agree, though, posting a gif is problematic to do natively on Lemmy.
