I think it might do some good to restrict trucks to stripper models - no leather , just vinyl/fabric, crank windows and reasonably comfortable seats. People just don't buy those nowadays.
Mismatched hood, pine air freshner dangling from the mirror, overflowing ash tray, a rust patch on the rear left fender. Manufacturers should have a "grandpas truck" model.

I learnt how to drive in a 89 gmc sierra. Same specs you just listed, but with a busted a/c and a tape deck. We need more trucks like that.

Must have both bench seats and a manual transmission, making the middle totally uncomfortable but people still sit there when needed
Its a cab and a half, but theres no swing door and the seats are impossible to get over. Also gotta have a box of shells under the drivers seat.
