Chileans can vote either in the left primary (between Daniel Jadue and Gabriel Boric) or in the right wing primary
Last month´s polls showed a clear victory for Jadue (but mosts were made before any of the debates happened so theyare not that reliable), while on the right wing primary the biggest surprise was that Joaquin Lavin (who represents the pinochetist side of the coalition and was thought to be the clear frontrunner) is apparently barely winning agaisnt Sebastian Sichel (independent) in what could be an historic loss for the chilean right wing establishment.

In a runoff against a right wing candidate I would say he has a good chance, the anti-rightwing sentiment in Chile is so big right now that it could counter the anti communist sentiment.
If the rival is a centrist (like Yasna Provoste who didnt participate in a primary and has some good polling) im afraid of an ugly defeat with all the conservatives voting for the centrists
